THE £10 GUCCI BELT DUPE

If you saw my post on the ethics of dupes, I’m sure you’re already familiar with this pretty little accessory. This double circle belt is one of the most convincing Gucci belt dupes yet, which is probably why it went out of stock almost as soon as it landed on ASOS! Luckily I got my hands on one early, but if you’ve had your eye on it, too, then I bear good news! It’s finally back in stock in all sizes! If you’re already sold, then be my guest – just click the link above and get shopping! However, if you need a little convincing on why you need a statement belt in your wardrobe, then I’m here to help you out. Here are three ways to style the £10 Gucci belt dupe!

SMARTEN UP A TOP AND JEANS

Throw on a plain white tee and a pair of blue jeans and you might look like you haven’t bothered. However, tuck that tee in and style it with a statement belt, and you’ve got yourself a look! There simply isn’t an easier way to smarten up a top and jeans. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a chunky knit, a button up shirt or a slogan tee, a statement belt will do the job. Style it with heels, trainers or loafers – anything will do! It’s literally the most versatile item for creating that ‘I made an effort’ look, and it’s saved my butt many a morning already this autumn!

CINCH IN A DRESS

Whether you prefer wearing chunky jumper dresses, pristine shirt dresses or floaty wrap dresses, a statement belt is a great way to cinch you in around the centre. Sometimes, dresses can leave you feeling a little shapeless, so adding some interest around your middle can help you regain your feminine figure. This works particularly well with high neck or plain numbers, but you don’t have to limit yourself to those! A statement belt can break up ruffles and frills, and looks great with ditsy floral prints, too.

ACCESSORISE ALL BLACK ATTIRE

Finally, if you’re anything like me, your wardrobe is 90% black! It’s an extremely flattering colour on pretty much everybody, and it’s incredibly easy to wear. However, let’s face it: an all black outfit has the potential to look a little bit morbid. If you wear all black on the regular, a statement belt is a wonderful way to break up all of those dark tones and take your outfit from drab to fab. Pull it all together by accessorising with accents and jewellery in the same colour, and you’ll look less funeral, more FROW!
